Along with DecisionLogic, Qu is the Unified Commerce Platform that enterprise Fast Casual and Quick Service restaurant chains are choosing today! Our Platform and People separate us from the rest. Let’s go on a journey together Beyond POS, to a Unified Commerce Platform!* **What is the term of the contract? Is the hardware really free? What happens after 5 years?** The initial term of the contract is 5 years. Qu is providing an extremely aggressive offer to the Taco John's community, taking advantage of the massive scale and growth that Qu has experienced in the past 18-months. Between an extensive negotiation by Taco John's corporate, and these efficiencies, Qu is passing the savings along to you, provided you **sign up for and install** the Qu solution this year. There are several potential options for the end of the initial term of the contract and the path forward will largely depend on what Taco John's and Qu determine is the best balance between service and support, cost, and the technological needs and outlook of 5 years from now. Technology in the hospitality sector is evolving faster than ever before and so too does the hardware needed to adequately run in-store operations. Qu will work closely with Tack John's along with the term of the contract to ensure the holistic solution continues to provide a world-class solution to its community.   **What is covered, is support included?** The hardware is covered during the term of the agreement with an advanced replacement depot program.  Qu also offers a 24-hour support center.   **Will this work with my credit card processor?** Qu supports your existing processor, TSYS, and will continue to support this business relationship for the Taco John's community   **Is Qu Cloud-based?  What does this mean when the internet goes out?** Qu is "Cloud-Deployed", not Cloud-Dependent. Qu has multiple layers of redundancy built into its platform, both in the cloud and on-premises. These architectural advantages allow for Qu to continue to operate even when there may be in-store internet connectivity issues. The "EMV" payment terminals support "Store and Forward" technology, a payments-industry leading security protocol enabling the continuation of accepting credit card payments, even if the store loses internet connectivity. These devices support guards and thresholds that minimize exposure to loss once the store comes back online and the devices push the store's payments to the processor in order to process the transactions. The Qu POS terminals continue to operate without the internet, and can even continue to create guest checks and accept credit card payments if the in-store network goes down.
